Pivot Moments 2 built upon the previous Pivot Moments 2020 lockdown project of Posset and Shunyata Improvisation Group. Pivot Moments 2 specifically invited the Pals of RTProjects to record short personal statements which describe momentary feelings of ease, deep wellbeing and openness. Using these recorded spoken word pieces as a foundation Shunyata Improvisation Group and Posset created improvisations, soundscape and took sound recordings to provide additional source material for the album. All the source material was provided to all the collaborators to then select process and mix independently. RT Projects produced the art work for the album. The end result is an intriguing album with three diverse tracks which speak to the human spirit’s resilience within the challenging times of the Covid 19 pandemic.
RTProjects is an independent registered charity, set up in 2007 upon the belief that art can save lives.
“We aim to reduce anxiety and depression by enabling people to use art to strengthen their emotional resilience.
We believe that everyone can benefit from participation in creative activities.
Modern lifestyles are all too often made up mostly of work and TV, leaving many people disconnected from creative thought and discontented with their lives. Art should be part of a healthy lifestyle. We think of it as ‘jogging for the mind’.
Discovering art can be life changing. Art can:
Enable people to re-connect with themselves and others;
Reduce Anxiety through engagement in mindful activity;
Improve self-esteem by producing something to be proud of;
Stimulate the creative part of the brain.
RTProjects is a powerful alternative to clinical and pharmaceutical treatments."
